How to use them

How to use these examples

Study the example closest to your situation first and note the mechanics: section order, profile length, how the GDPR clause sits at the foot. The mechanics are what you reuse — the content is what you replace.

Copy the skeleton, never the sentences. Italian recruiters see the same copied examples on repeat, and duplicated text discredits you instantly. Your own numbers, even modest ones, always out-convince borrowed impressive ones.

By profile

What changes by career stage

  • Neolaureati (recent graduates) Istruzione leads, with the final mark if it is strong. Tirocini (internships) and thesis projects are written like jobs — dates, tasks, results. Language certifications (IELTS, CELI) deserve their own lines.
  • Experienced profiles Experience occupies page one; education shrinks to a line. Every recent role shows scale — orders, clients, budgets — and one quantified result per position.
  • Career change The profilo personale builds the bridge; fresh certifications and transferable skills move above the older experience.

The traps

Mistakes these examples avoid

  • The missing privacy clause The single most common Italian CV error. Without consent to data processing, strict recruiters cannot legally keep your application — one line at the foot fixes it.
  • Duties, not outcomes 'Managed the switchboard' describes a desk. 'Handled 90 calls a day across 4 lines, average wait under 30 seconds' describes you.
  • Qualification inflation Claimed English C1 that evaporates in the interview does more damage than an honest B1 plus a certificate.
  • Decorative charts Skill bars at '80%' are unverifiable and unfriendly to ATS parsers. Text levels — basic, good, advanced — survive both.

FAQ

Italian CV examples: questions

Can I reuse these Italian CV examples?

The structure, yes — it follows the conventions Italian recruiters expect. The sentences, no: write from your own history. Copied examples are spotted quickly, and your real facts read better anyway.

Where exactly does the privacy clause go?

At the very bottom of the CV, one or two lines, signed implicitly by sending the document. If the posting quotes specific legislation, copy its wording into your clause exactly.

Is a one-page CV mandatory in Italy?

One page for juniors and most profiles; two pages are acceptable from roughly ten years of experience upwards. What is never acceptable is padding to reach a length.

Should grades (voto di laurea) be included?

Include them when they strengthen you — 105/110 and above generally worth stating, 110 e lode always. Below that, the qualification title alone is fine.
