Nursing CVs are screened by people who need to verify clinical safety fast. Licence type, units, patient ratios and specialty certifications have to be findable in seconds. A document that buries the licence under a career summary slows that check down.
These nurse resume templates produce a clean single-column document that hospital applicant tracking systems can parse, with clinical details in the order a nurse recruiter expects.
8 layouts that fit how nurse hiring actually reads a CV. Open a card to preview, or start in the builder — the same content reflows if you switch template later.

Layout, not adjectives
The right template for this field is the one that puts the evidence a nurse screen checks first in a document a parser can still read. Style is secondary.
Match the market
What belongs on the page
Type, jurisdiction, status. Number and expiry follow local practice — some employers ask for the number only at offer.
"1:4 on a 32-bed acute medical unit" or "180 attendances a day in ED" is the clearest proxy for the acuity you can handle.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, IV therapy — with expiry. An expired BLS on a nursing CV is a genuine shortlisting risk.
Epic, Cerner or the named record. Write the product. "EHR experience" often misses the filter.
From template to file
Licence and unit details are already in the right place.
A recruiter verifying safety will not hunt through page two.
Then two or three bullets on precepting, documentation, incidents or quality work.
Then send. Do not photograph a paper licence into the CV.
Questions
Practice varies. Many recruiters want type, jurisdiction and expiry on the document and the number at offer. Follow the employer's application guidance.
State them plainly. Ratios are the clearest available proxy for acuity and workload, and clinical managers read them immediately.
They can, because several are mandatory. List only current credentials with expiry dates, and renew anything lapsed before you apply.
Yes early in your career, with named units and hours. Compress them once you have two or more years of qualified practice.
