Privacy Policy

This policy describes information handled when you visit Resume Earth, use its tools, or contact us. Resume Earth does not require an account to use the resume tools. The website is operated at www.resumeearth.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@resumeearth.com.

Resume information you enter in the builder is saved in your browser's local storage so it can be available when you return. Job-description drafts may be kept in session storage for the current browsing session. The cover-letter composer keeps its working draft in page memory. These are different from server storage: clearing your browser's site data removes locally saved drafts, and drafts may be unavailable on another device or browser.

That storage can include the personal details you choose to put in a resume — name, contact details, employment history, education and anything else you type. Only enter what you are comfortable having on that device. The exact keys and their lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy.

Some optional tools need information you submit to provide their requested result. Resume tailoring, job-match analysis, AI cover-letter generation, and some AI writing features can send resume details, job descriptions, or text you provide to Resume Earth's configured service and AI provider(s). Depending on the feature and deployment configuration, providers can include Groq, OpenRouter, Google Gemini, or Hugging Face. The request is used to return the tool's result. The providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sending to these services. Some PDF-generation configurations may also send document data to a configured PDF service; local export tools process the document in your browser.

If you submit the contact form, the name, email address, subject, and message you enter are sent through EmailJS so the message can be delivered to us. Email us at support@resumeearth.com for a privacy question or a request relating to a contact message. Avoid including sensitive personal information in a support request.

Every visit to Resume Earth is measured with Google Analytics so we can see which pages people use and where to improve. On supported deployments, Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights measure usage and performance the same way. These services load for all visitors: the site shows a one-time notice explaining that your visit is measured, and there is no accept or reject choice to make. Google and Vercel may process technical information such as page, browser, device, and network information under their own privacy terms; Google Analytics can set its own cookies, for example the _ga cookie, to tell a new visit from a returning one. We do not currently display advertising on Resume Earth, and no advertising consent signal is collected: advertising storage stays denied in Google consent mode, so if advertising is ever added, the relevant ad disclosures and any required certified consent setup must be configured before ads are served. If you prefer not to be measured, you can block third-party scripts in your browser or with an extension, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.

The resume builder uses browser local storage, and some drafts use session storage, as described above. A one-time note that you have seen the analytics notice is saved in local storage so the notice is not shown again on your next visit. The analytics services may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own documentation and settings; for example Google Analytics uses its _ga cookie to distinguish visits. This site does not currently use advertising cookies because advertising is not currently displayed.

Resume Earth does not sell personal information, does not rent out resume data, and does not share it with advertisers — there is no advertising on the site to share it with. Information is disclosed only to:

• the services that process a request you made (AI providers, the contact-form delivery service, a configured PDF service), each acting on the information you submitted;
• the measurement services described above, which receive technical visit data rather than your resume content;
• the hosting and delivery infrastructure that serves the site;
• a law enforcement body, regulator or court, where we are legally required to disclose it.

Resume drafts stored in your browser remain there until you remove them or clear the site's browser storage. Session drafts normally last for the browser session. Information sent to an AI, email, hosting, or PDF service is subject to that service's processing and retention practices. Resume Earth keeps no account database and no server-side copy of your resume created by ordinary browsing.

The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS enabled, requests to the backend are validated and size-limited, and the AI endpoints apply rate limits so a single visitor cannot flood them. Drafts never leave your browser unless you use a feature that requires it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Because some tools send your text to a third-party provider, treat anything you submit the way you would treat the same text pasted into any other online service, and do not include information you would not want processed by that provider.

• Delete your drafts: clear cookies and site data for resumeearth.com, or start a new resume in the builder. Download or back up your file first — deleted browser storage cannot be recovered.
• Limit what is sent: the AI tools are optional. The builder, templates and local export work without submitting anything.
• Stop measurement: block third-party scripts, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
• Access or erasure requests: email support@resumeearth.com about information you submitted through the contact form or an online tool, and we will handle the request. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Resume Earth is a general-audience tool for people looking for work and is not directed at children. There is no age gate because there is no account: nothing is collected about a visitor beyond the storage and measurement described above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form or an online tool, email support@resumeearth.com and we will delete what we hold.

The services described in this policy may change as tools and deployment settings change. Third-party providers have their own privacy notices and terms; review those notices when you use a feature that sends information to them. Links from Resume Earth to other websites — job boards, employer sites, guidance we reference — lead to sites we do not control and whose practices this policy does not cover.

We will update this page when our information practices materially change and revise the date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means the updated policy applies to your use; the current version is always the one published here.
